About Biomedical Performance Technologies Services
Biomedical Performance Technologies (BPT) is an Australian-based company dedicated to enhancing motorsport performance by integrating biomedical engineering and physiology into racing.
Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Canberra, BPT focuses on providing motorsport teams and drivers at all competition levels with quality data and knowledge to optimise both mechanical and biological performance.
BPT’s flagship initiative, Driver Avatar, combines human performance metrics with machine data analytics, offering teams unprecedented insights into the synergy between driver, car, and team dynamics. By integrating race timing, vehicle data, and physiological information, BPT empowers racers and their teams to make evidence-based decisions, ultimately enhancing performance and providing a competitive edge that transforms drivers and teams into championship winners.
In collaboration with the UNSW Data Science Hub (uDASH), BPT is developing novel statistical tools aimed at improving driver and team performance in motorsport. This partnership focuses on translating research into actionable strategies for on-track performance gains and the long-term career development of athletes, advancing the field of computational statistics in the process.
Through these initiatives, Biomedical Performance Technologies is revolutionising the motorsport industry by providing data-driven solutions that optimise the interplay between human and machine performance.
